Thoughtful hydrangea card

This is a lovely hydrangea card, The cardstock colour I used is called crumb cake, with rich razzleberry. I sponged the die cut hydrangea in rich razzleberry ink. I layered it and added a few individual flowers, finally I added glossy accents. I love the use of the burlap ribbon, I ruched it by sewing it, lovely effect I think, bit different.

white shimmer meets thoughtful branches

Oh wow, I love this card, Id never have thought to do a card all white, its a shame its not good for a wedding card. It was so easy and quick to make. I added wink of stella for a bit of glitter.

Christmas time

Well, its time to start thinking of Christmas a bit now. Otherwise I know what will happen, it will be too late, I cant imagine buying cards as i have too much stuff.
Here is a card, I made with the SU range of thoughtful branches, my favourite set so far. I embossed the white card with the falling snow folder from SU. I stamped the trees, first of all with soft suede for the branches, then I used a Tim Holtz green for the trees. I tried to fade it into the background.

I am quite pleased with this for a Christmas card. I plan to make my cards mostly similar, and quite basic with not too much detail.

Autumn card and cat

I made this card using a tree die that I had for a while, I believe its by tattered lace but am not too sure, I probably could find out if anyone wanted to know, its really nice I think. It cuts it and embosses which is one of my favourites. I sponged over the bark then coloured in the leaves in Autumn colours. I stamped the fence in soft suede, and some grass. then the lovely cat in chocolate  chip ink.
I really like this card

thoughtful branches

Well, Im in the Autumn mood today with this tree card. And of course any cat picture makes a card extra nice. I used Stampin up background paper, it comes in a small pad, and has amazing background pictures on it. I used thoughtful branches tree on it and I used macaroon mint card, I stamped the same colour for the leaves. I used soft suede for the bark of the tree and the cat. The back ground card is also soft suede colour. I love the way it all matches.

Cat on post

Today I managed to make a card. Its so hard while its too hot. My craft room is the at the back of the house where the sun gets in so its a really hot room. I did have the fan on, that helped.
I love cards with cats on. So I decided to make a cat card today. Was doing pretty well with it. I got a 7" square card in white, I cut a strip for the middle, sorry I didnt measure it. I used a brayer to make it blue. I stamped the trees on it with soft suede ink from SU. I stamped it twice before re inking so that it would give the look of some trees being in the background. I had a thistle stamp, I stamped some on the card as you can see, I also cut two out. I coloured them in with wink of stella glitter pens.
The cat stamp is from Sheena Douglas, I coloured in with my pencils. The grass was stamped with a grass stamp that I already have.
Do you like wahat it says ? Cats have staff, bit mean really because they dont. Do they!!!!
Finally I stuck the blue card on with double sided tape, the cat and grass was with foam pads to give a bit of depth. the two thistles are also added on with foam pads.

Sheltering tree card

Well, its a little cooler tonight. It was too hot today. 32 I believe they said it was in the end. I wanted to make another card from my own ideas for a change. I love my new set of Sheltering Branches from Stampin up. I used some dark brown card to make a 6 inch square card. I overlayed it with crushed curry card as I was going to be using crushed curry ink for the leaves. I love to match everything. I did it on a white card. Can you notice, I clipped the corners for a little extra touch, quite nice. I actually have a cutter to round the corners, but this is a little different. Attention to detail is the icing on the cake I think. I wound round some lovely string from SU too for a little extra detail.
Inside the brown card I have put some beige paper that I can add a sentiment later when I know what I will use the card for.
Tomorrow will be boiling again, yes its September in UK!! I dont like card making in the heat even with my fan on. Im desperate to make more cards in comfort. Anyway, I wont go on about the heat. Its actually nice sitting in the garden with the cats at 10pm and candles.
Id love to have feedback if anyone would comment, I havent had this blog for long so its very exciting.
By the way, I super imposed the picture for a change, I just like it.

Sheltering branches card

Oh gosh, after a break for a few days, been bit busy. I have finally made this card. This is with my new set by Stampin up. Its called Sheltering branches. There is loads of things you can make with this. One of my favourite colours is light pink. So I used pale pink and made a card 6" X 6" approx. Then I cut a small piece of white and a frame of a darker pink card I already had.  I lay the white onto the pink and stamped my tree and leaves. (They come separately) Then I stuck the dark pink to the white card. I did do a light blue sky too. I just used soft sky ink pad with a sponge.

I couldnt resist adding the lights to the picture when editing it. I love things like that

Dapper blue card

Well, I decided to make my own card up here, I really love dark blue and white, this is dapper denim by Stampin Up. First of all I thought the card would be too much, with too much dark blue on it, but when I finished it, I quite like it. I would like to make some more like this when I get a chance.

Swirly scribble card

Here is another Swirly scribble thinlit card. Stampin up sell all the things I used to make this lovely card. I really like it, its so different and makes a really nice looking card.

Swirly scribble card with butterfly

This is a nice simple card made with Stampin up cardstock and swirly scribbles thinlit dies and stamps. It was very quick and simple to make, I like it a lot.

Stampin up Swirly thinlet card

Well, I finally found some cards that I like at last. I used my swirly thinlets dies and stamps from Stampin up. I really like this one, its my favourite. I started with some denim blue card then I added some flower paper and some mint macaroon card then finally added the white card with the stamps on. I fussy cut the bird and eggs then finally stuck diamonds on the card.

Stampin up thoughtful branches

Here is another card I made today, I am pretty pleased with this too. I love the colours. Yet again its
from Stampin up my favourite place at the moment, I am trying to collect some products from them. I very much like matching things up as anyone  who knows me will tell you. I think its very clever how Stampin up do all matching products.

This card has a petal embossed background, with flowery paper that coordinates then  I put some nice lace round it before I added the hydrangea.

I hope to make some more cards tomorrow, Ill be glad when it cools down a bit though.
Hope you like it, feel free to comment or ask anything

Thoughtful Branches Hydrangea

Well, I finally got time to myself today to make some cards. It was very humid, so I got my fan on high and started making some cards I have wanted to make for a long time. Again its with my Thoughtful Branches set. This is the first one I made, I didnt do too well with the embossing on some of them with the writing area.  I just love the writing in the back ground and it all matches, which is also nice

Sunflower card

Oh wow, Im so excited today I made this very detailed card. Its from a set I have had for about a month now, I hesitated to buy it because I wasnt sure if it would be worth it. But I have found I can make so many different cards with it. I love this one, its so clever. Unfortunately I didnt think it up, I saw it on Pinterest. I only wish i was that clever. Anyway, I did enjoy making it up. It also gave me the inspiration to try to design something myself from this set soon. I had to cut out and stamp 10 leaves at first, yes, they are leaves really, then cut and stamp hydrangea and cut into a circle, with a plain brown background circle. I embossed the wall on a shiny white card.  Finally, I stuck a few diamonds on it. Am very pleased with it.

Purple card

I went back to my favourite set today, Thoughtful branches from SU. I cut out the front of the card with my Brother scan and cut machine. then I cut and stamped the dies out. I put acetate in the middle of the card. I did use  double sided tape, I should have used glue I think. It may have been better, but you live and learn and its not that bad.
I stuck a few lovely pink pearls on too.
I had some matching backing paper from SU too.
